About Us
Overview
The purpose of the Lessons Learned Center is to provide a process which allows members of the security community to keep abreast of the latest security-related news, issues, and events across the DOE complex; share innovative ideas and practices; and collaborate on the development and implementation of new security practices and processes. Lessons learned must be incorporated into training, maintenance and work planning, operations and design/construction of facilities.
In February 2007, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of the Associate Administrator for Defense Nuclear Security (DNS), established a complex-wide Security Lessons Learned Center (SEC-LLC). Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) was selected by DNS to host the center. The SEC-LLC will serve as the executive agent of DNS for the complex-wide application of the program.
